Enrollment process

Thank you for your interest in River HomeLink. Enrollment is closed for the 2024-25 school year.

Wondering how to apply for future years? Please see the following steps.

Step 1) Fill out the interest form when it is available (see “Enrollment timeline”).

Step 2) Once you have filled out the interest form, you will receive an invitation to attend a new family meeting, where you’ll learn about the programs, have an opportunity to ask questions and get details on expectations for students and parents/guardians. You’ll also meet with an adviser.

Step 3) If you decide RHL is the schooling option that works for you and your family, welcome! The next step is to complete the New Student Online Enrollment in Skyward. Incoming kindergarteners will need to have a copy of their birth certificate. Students older than kindergarten do not need a copy of their birth certificate. Details and a link to the New Student Online Enrollment form are available on our district webpage.

Step 4) A school representative will help you and your child(ren) figure out which courses they will take. This is called forecasting. Your child will then be enrolled and assigned courses. New students will be required to attend orientation on campus. Need additional information? Contact our office at 360-334-8200.

How enrollment decisions are made

Last updated May 2024

Each program/grade has its own capacity based on space availability and staffing. Enrollment decisions will follow the process described below, but the number of in-district and out-of-district students in each program/grade level will vary. When enrollment is available, we will consider the following:

  1. Student who lives in the district and has a current sibling (same address) at RHL

  2. Student who lives in the district and does not have a current sibling at RHL

  3. Student who lives outside of the district and has a current sibling (same address) at RHL

  4. Student who lives outside of the district and does not have a current sibling at RHL

If two or more students meet the same criteria but only one spot is available, it will be offered to the student whose application was completed first.

If the student leaves the program at any time during the school year, the student and/or parent must notify RHL so that teachers can provide grades and close the student’s account. All district-owned books or equipment must be returned and all fees/fines owed to the school or cafeteria must be paid.

If you wish to unenroll your child from River HomeLink, please complete the student withdrawal request form.
