Online Courses- Accelerate Education Platform
- Mixture of video and text with interactive activities
- Printed workbooks and activity sheets
- Mixture of lessons, assignments, quizzes, projects, discussion boards, etc
Core Classes and Electives
- Home directed, parent monitored progress using school provided resources
- 1st Semester: Language Arts, Math, Science, Social Studies, Art (elective), PE
- 2nd Semester:
- For 3rd graders: Language Arts, Math, Science, Social Studies, Music with Recorders (elective), PE
- For 4th graders: Language Arts, Math, Science, Social Studies, Keyboarding / typing (elective), PE
- For 5th graders: Language Arts, Math, Science, Social Studies, Scratch Coding (elective), PE
Weekly Directed Studies (required) Remote (Zoom) or In-Person
- Classroom experience in person or on Zoom
- Practice academic social skills: problem solving, working with others, hands on learning.
- In person: 1/2 day per week
- Remote through Zoom: one class period per week
Digital Lab: Remote through Zoom (optional)
- Get one-on-one help with a teacher
- Review assignments, projects, completed work, etc.
Advising: Remote through Zoom or In-Person
- Meeting with student, parent and advisor
- Meet once or twice each month
- Complete Monthly Progress Review and give assistance
